Tailoring Experiment

Every once in a while, my dad gives me a stack of clothes he isn't using (sometimes the clothes are pretty new). This time he gave me some sweatpants as part of that stack so I could figure out what to do with them. Well I thought heck ya I love comfy clothes. It was a new experience for me. I've never slimmed something down a couple sizes smaller.  Here's some befores...

I took the inside of the legs in 2 inches.

Then I had to figure out a way not to sew the elastic at the ankles.

I knew I wanted baggy sweatpants, but when I got to the crotch, I had to take it in a little.  They were men's sweatpants after all.

Then, right below the elastic at the waist I took it in 2 inches.  That way it blended in with the bottom of the elastic.

End result!

Blank Canvas

It all started with a blank canvas I got for $2 at a yard sale. I found a tutorial for a chevron patterned (I love chevron :) canvas on Pinterest http://pinterest.com/pin/209558188881469170/ and I went to work with my painters tape and spray paint.
